THIS IS FOR THOSE WHO HELP OTHERS, AND THOSE WHO WONDER WHY THERE ARE PEOPLE LIKE THOSE OF US THAT HELP OTHERS.

STARFISH
There is a child passing by a beach at night when he sees that many starfish have washed up on the shore. Across the entire beach there are hundreds of starfish that have been put there by tides and waves. So the child thinks 'When the sun comes up, all those satrfish out there are going to dry up, and die.' and with that the child decides to throw them back in.

A man jogging on the beach comes to the part of the beach where the child is at, and he stops to ask "Why are you doing?." The child stops what he is doing and tells the man, "I'm trying to get all the starfish back in the ocean before the sun comes up, or they will die." The man laughs at the child and says"There are hundreds of starfish that have washed up on the beach, you can't save them all, so what does it matter to you?" The child picks up a starfish and then looks at the man. He tosses it back into the ocean and says to the man, "It matters to that one..." and he picks up another one and tosses that one back in too, and looks back to the man again, "...and it matters to that one."


<sub>THIS IS A GOOD EXAMPLE WHY THERE ARE THOSE OF US WHO HELP PEOPLE, EVEN IF THOSE OF US WHO HELP PEOPLE SOMETIMES DON'T KNOW WHY. SOME OF US QUESTION OURSELVES AND OUR WORTH TO THE PEOPLE WE HELP. THERE ARE SOME WHO FEEL LIKE GIVING UP ON IT BECUASE THE PEOPLE WE TRY TO HELP GIVE US SO MUCH CRAP WHEN WE DECIDE TO DO SOMETHING FOR OURSLEVES. PEOPLE DENMAND HELP SOMETIMES, LIKE IT'S OUR JOB.

TO THOSE WHO HELP, DON'T GIVE UP, DON'T LET THOSE PEOPLE DRAG YOU DOWN, AND DON'T LET GO OF THOSE WHO NEED YOU, EVEN IF THEY SAY THEY DON'T. NEVER DOUBT THE DIFFRENCE YOU MAKE, OR THE IMPACT YOU HAVE. THIS WORLD NEEDS MORE PEOPLE LIKE US TO CARRY THOSE WHO CAN'T CARRY THEMSELVES. IT'S OKAY IF THEY CAN'T, BUT THEY SHOULDN'T NOT BECOME DEPENDANT EITHER.


AS FOR THOSE WHO GET HELPED BE APPRECIATIVE DAMN IT, THANK THOSE WHO HELP YOU, BECUASE IF PEOPLE LIKE THOSE THAT HELP NEVER HEAR ANY GRATITUCE AND JUST HEAR A BUNCH OF CRAP FROM PEOPLE WHO ARE UNGRATFULL, THEN THOSE WHO HELP WILL NO LONGER HELP. EVERYONE HAS TO REMEMBER THAT WE HELP OTHERS BECUASE WE CHOOSE TO NOT BECUASE WE HAVE TO. WE DO IT BECUASE IT WE KNOW THAT IT MATTERS TO SOME ONE. WE DO IT NOT FOR PUBLICITY, THERE IS NONE, NOT FOR RECOGNITON, NO ONE SEES, NOT FOR PERSONAL GAIN, THERE IS NOTHING TO GAIN, EXECPT PERHAPS A FRIEND, BUT WE DO IT BECUASE IT'S THE RIGHT THING TO DO. SOMETIMES WE DO IT, BEUCASE WE KNOW NO ONE ELSE WILL.</sub>
