Lunar Productions Night
Lets start with what I just finished doing less than a few hours ago. SO, I, along with four other individuals put together a show for a Cafe named "Leche cafe & Bookstore" called "Lunar Productions Night" which by my initialization pushed for the revival of Lunar Productions; a group I and 2 others initially founded for the purpose of hosting shows, and to attempt to eventually get other events going like art walks or short film festivals. The stars were kinda the limit. Anyway, I just finished with hosting the show (as in announcing the artists, and setting up my sound system with the help of the other LP members) and I have to say it went very well. There will be videos posted on YouTube as soon as we get them uploaded. They are from the event and we had various styles of music that night. From Opera, jazz, Rock, Acoustic, and indie, I think it was a pretty great night and we pulled in a decent crowd for the night (60-70) considering we pulled the event together under two weeks, which includes getting the musicians to come play, advertising the event, and dealing with people dropping out (flakes) to people not coming to the event that said they were. All in all, it was fun, I had a good time, and despite all that other stuff I have to said it went pretty well, and I've already been there with the other crap so I know it's all a part of the process. If anyone lives in my city feel free to ask more about future events because they will be happening as we've ALREADY been booked for another date exactly one month from today (technically yesterday now) so come if you can. The date for the next one is April 12 2014.
Writers Bistro
NEXT, I would like to address business with Writers Bistro considering I'm busy with school and dealing with events offline I'm still aiming to get this ball rolling too. I'm looking for anyone who thinks they have a clear head on their shoulders, and has decent knowledge about writing (i.e. the function each style of writing serves, or the difference between knowing the rules and breaking them as opposed to breaking rules without purpose/unknowingly.) If you are interested in being part of a team of people who are more concerned with the growth of their peers and themselves as writers in the art form of writing, then by all means send me a note, and I will discuss the specific details about working on the team, the responsibilities, or whether or not I feel you can handle the weight since it's going to be particular rough early and we're at the beginning. Being that as it is, it only makes sense that we start this team with higher caliber individuals who have some experience. The doesn't mean if you've never ran a chat, never taught, or haven't studied writing that it'll automatically disqualify you, but if you are somewhere in the median and you decide you want to be part of this, you'll definitely be considered if you are willing to push forward with yourself to be on top of things. They say there are 2 kinds of people when it comes to being good at something, those who get great through hard work and determination, and those who are born with the talent to be great naturally. The truth is, no matter how "talented" anyone is, from person to person, and from business to business, the former of the 2 will always be chosen.
Meet you on the other side. Likewise, if there is anyone you know that may be interested in something like this, please send them my way.

New Music, New Band, New Version
I officially have a steady band now. Or at least it feels that way. It's definitely how I expected in that it's not what I expected. Still, the odds of me finding three people who studied jazz that are into playing rock is really really hard, and I feel like I got really lucky. I guess doing the usual "I'm going take this class/route/change just for fun" has paid off. The drummer, as you'll hear if you go listen is amazing by the way. My lead guitarist, I enjoy hearing play. As for the bassist/second guitarist, I loved that he knew his theory and implemented that in the music and it's really unfortunate extenuating circumstances has left him
Performing at Cypress College
So yeah, I was asked to perform original material at Cypress College and was more than happy to oblidge. The instrutor has asked and had me a perform a few times before but in previous times it was more academically oriented material (all jazz) so I was excited to do some of my own compositions rather than playing and improvising over standards. I was so excited in fact that I forgot to be prepared to record it : D and needless to say, with the help of Lighteh we got about half of the performace. Below are the deviations and the corresponding youtube vids that took me an entire week to get up (frustratingly because of all the waiting). It was
New song, no title (again)
Sunset brings us,
a sky full of stars,
Shining brightly,
so very far.
In my dreams I've
traveled billions
of starlights to get there;
don't know where I am anymore.
Feeling the sands on a foreign beach.
The oceans out here shine an emerald green.
I crashed my ship, and I'm all out of fuel.
A fleeting experience unique and so new.
Wondrous planets,
Auroran colours.
Made friends with aliens;
they gave me a tour.
Stopped an invasion;
they called me the bravest
that they'd ever seen.
I was just being me.
They call this place here Gyninorlfa
After saving his home, Draxon says, "now we're brothers."
And Saidia(say-die-ah)
ACNL yardsale
Doing a yardsale in animal crossing new leaf if anyone is interested. Thought it'd be fun to do one because reasons plus, trading and selling to players helps everyone, because acnl shit is expensive or time consuming sometimes. Send me a note for friendcode if interested. After this journal I will be posting the new song I'm working on, so this is a 'back to deviantart warmup'.
